I have never run a marathon before. I had never asked to run a marathon. A marathon is 26.2 miles! The farthest I had ever run was 13.2 in a half-marathon last August. I am 57! I think my daughter wants her inheritance early, or revenge for when I did not buy her a cabbage patch doll 25 years ago. Help support this 57 year old run his first marathon. On these cold & rainy mornings, when I don't really want to train, you can help support [guilt] me into getting my feet on the street. All money raised will go directly to Easter Seals. There are 46,112 yards in a 26.2 mile martathon. Assuming each of my steps is about 3 feet long [probably less toward the end], I will take about 46,112 steps. It will take me about 5 hours of running. I hope to raise 10 cents per step. How many steps can you help me run? I started this website on March 15th. As of today, I have raised $3,515.53 toward my goal of 46,112 steps X $0.10 per step = $4611.
